Pakistan is the Only Team in First Place in The World Test Championship After India's Draw

Test Cricket Ranking

After the second Test between India and the West Indies ended in a draw, Pakistan is the sole side leading the ICC World Test Championship rankings. Following their four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in Galle, Pakistan is the only team in the new cycle without a loss. Babar Azam's team is on track to keep that record after dismissing their Asian opponents for only 166 on the first day of the second Test in Colombo.

Pakistan will be eager to build a commanding lead over Sri Lanka and retain their spotless record in this series after racing to 145/2 from only 28.3 overs at the end of the play.

Despite the fact that India hasn't yet suffered a loss this cycle, their tie with the West Indies caused them to slide from first to second in the most recent rankings, and their win-loss ratio fell from 100% to 66.67%.

Only the three nations who have already taken part in the new 2023–25 World Test Championship cycle, the West Indies, Australia, and England, are ahead of them in the rankings.
